Cotton French Terry, 18 oz

Medium-weight French terry knit, 18 oz per yard. The classic sweatshirt fabric: smooth jersey face on the outside, soft loopback interior that breaks in over time the way a vintage crewneck does. Made for hoodies, sweatpants, and the kind of mid-weight cut-and-sew pieces that get worn five days a week.

What it's good for

Hand feel and drape

Substantial but not stiff. The interior loopback gives the cozy sweatshirt feel without the bulk of a 22 oz heavyweight terry. Drapes well, holds shape, and softens with washing.

Care

Cold machine wash, tumble dry low or line dry. Low iron on the reverse if needed. No bleach. Expect roughly 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash, which is normal for natural cotton knits. Pre-wash before cutting if your project requires precise dimensions.
