Indigo Railroad Stripe Cotton Denim, 12 oz
Indigo railroad stripe denim, 12 oz. The other classic Americana stripe denim alongside hickory: wider stripes, blockier scale, used historically for railroad worker overalls and engineer caps. Heavy enough for jackets and overalls, soft enough to break in for shirts.
Specifications
- Weight: 407 GSM (12 oz per linear yard)
- Width: 60 inches (152 cm)
- Content: 100% cotton
- Construction: Warp-faced twill with vertical railroad stripe
- Stripe scale: Wider than hickory stripe, classic railroad proportion
What it's good for
Engineer caps, train conductor jackets, railroad-stripe overalls, painter pants, work aprons, structured tote bags, Americana-inspired streetwear, vintage workwear reproductions. Pairs naturally with solid indigo and hickory stripe for layered Americana looks.
Hand feel and drape
Crisp with body straight off the bolt. Softens substantially after first wash. The 12 oz weight is heavy enough to hold structured jacket shapes while still being comfortable for everyday wear.
Care
Cold machine wash inside out, separately on first wash since indigo will bleed. Tumble dry low or line dry. Iron on medium. No bleach.
